Honda sales still growing in September

Published on October 31 2017

Another month, another sales record for Honda. The Japanese manufacturer indeed saw its sales increase by 3 percent last month to finish at 16 143 units sold. The entire Honda division finished the month of September with sales of 18,181 units, another gain of 3 percent. In both cases, these are new records for the Japanese brand for a month of September.

Both the Honda CR-V and Honda Pilot see their sales jump

The Honda CR-V finished the month of September with 5,427 units sold, a new all-time record for Honda's compact SUV. As for the Honda Pilot, its sales surpassed the 1,000 units mark, eclipsing at the same time the sales record of 951 units established in 2015.

"Modest Honda gains in September can be attributed to truck growth, as strong demand pushed both CR-V and Pilot to monthly sales records,” said Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Honda Canada Inc. “We’re excited to see how the launch of the redesigned 2018 Accord contributes to sales growth when it launches in Canada later this fall.”
