The Honda Fit has always been one of the most popular subcompacts in its class. Offering impressive fuel economy, agile handling around the city, and quite a bit of interior space even for a small car, the Fit found its way into the homes and hearts of many buyers looking for a good get-around car that was also relatively practical. With the arrival of the newest-generation Fit introduced last year, Honda kept the best features of the Fit intact while offering even more of what consumers loved.

The new generation of the Honda fit offers even more interior space, more practicality, and more fun behind the wheel. Starting at 14,575 $ before taxes and other fees, the 2015 Honda Fit offers an impressive list of standard features starting with a rear-view camera. We rarely see this type of feature in a subcompact car, but buyers will love how easy it allows you park in tight spots around the city, or leave your driveway safely. Bluetooth is also standard, as are active safety features like hill start assist and brake assist.

Other versions of the 2015 Honda Fit offer heated front seats, air conditioning, power windows, USB device connector, SiriusXM satellite radio, automatic climate control, and even an navigation system. It is also possible to equip your Fit with Honda’s innovative LaneWatch system which uses a small camera located below the right mirror to display an image of your blind spot on the center screen. This feature is very useful when passing on the highway, but also when driving in the city where it can be difficult to spot bikes or pedestrians when making a right turn.

The 2015 Honda Fit is powered by a brand new engine this year. The 1.5L four-cylinder engine features Earth Dreams technology which means that it has been optimized to function more efficiently and therefore offer better performance without sacrificing fuel economy. Offering 130 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque, the new engine also features an average fuel economy of 6.8 liters per 100 kilometers according to Honda when equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission. You can also opt for a six-speed manual transmission and still achieve great fuel economy as demonstrated by Honda’s average fuel economy rating of 7.3 liters per 100 kilometers. With the CVT, the Fit is equipped with an ECON button which changes the car’s settings in order to improve fuel economy. The results are impressive.
